Chipchain was Licensed to 12nm FinFET Advanced Process Technology by TSMC

After obtaining the licensing of 16nm FinFET process technology and successfully setting up an account in TSMC last month, Chipchain was provided the PDK of 12nm FinFET process technology by TSMC today, which illustrated TSMC’s recognition of the technical strength of Chipchain.

According to the analysis of technical staff, compared with previous generations of process technologies, TSMC’s 12nm FinFET process is the deeply improved version of 16nm, which has lower leakage and cost advantage. Compared with 16nm, the 12nm process not only has a higher transistor density, but also is further optimized in performance and power consumption.

Chipchain will make full use of the advantages brought by technical upgrades from the fab, which will greatly improve the performance of the chip in the design and help to provide better products for customers.
